About Saklikent Gorge

Saklikent Gorge cuts 18 kilometers (11 miles) deep into the Taurus Mountains. The sheer limestone walls reach 300 meters (984 feet) high. The icy Karaçay River carved this massive landscape over millennia.

Visitors enter via a 200-meter suspended boardwalk. The path is bolted to the cliff above the rushing water. Read more about the Gorge & River.

After the boardwalk, the true activity begins. You wade upstream against the river current. The water stays between 5°C and 8°C (41°F to 46°F) year-round. Check out Saklikent Packing List to prepare.

Great experience! It was a very full and active day, while still managing to feel not rushed. Food was good and wonderful tour guide who would give us background information at the different sites. Furthermore, the tour still went through even though it was just the two of us, would recommend to anyone!

Very experienced guide and Tlos was great. Good local lunch could have missed Yakapark as was, in my opinion, not necessary
